This picture, drawn by John Steuart Curry, in my opinion directly reflects the excerpt from John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath. Because the picture is drawn in black and white, it reminisces that no day ever came; because the picture is so dark it also shows that the sun that did appear gave off little light. The corn in the picture also reminds me of the fallen corn that John Steinbeck has described. The fact that the corn is swaying in the picture also shows the wind that was blowing through the corn.
